Proteomanalysen in Pflanzen

authored by
Holger Eubel
Abstract

Plants are unique creatures with a sessile and autotrophic lifestyle which necessitates a highly flexible metabolism. In part, these changes are effected by modulating protein abundance or enzymatic activity via protein modifications. This article summarizes the features which render plants ideal "guinea pigs" for proteome studies as well as pointing out general directions of research in this field.
